With a background in strategic business development and a commitment to empowering startups, Corina co-founded Babasú Ventures to support high-potential enterprises that can transform our local ecosystem and beyond. BV’s investment thesis includes emerging markets across Latin America, emphasizing a global perspective.
Her journey has been fueled by the desire to create lasting impact through investments that nurture sustainable and scalable ventures. Leading Babasú Ventures, she has focused on strategic guidance, operational efficiency, and building robust networks, ensuring BV’s portfolio companies thrive. Her motivation stems from a deep belief in the transformative power of entrepreneurship and the importance of supporting visionary founders in realizing their dreams.

Salomón Eid
Founding Partner
Ex-founder of Legic, a legal processes automation startup that helped entrepreneurs incorporate their companies in Bolivia for half of the market price and in 30% of the usual time.
10 years of experience in financial system regulation, including assessment of fintech and traditional business models. Ranked as a top 10 Banking & Finance lawyer in Bolivia.
Assisted more than 40 startups in designing and implementing innovative business models, and in all other respects of their development, from setup activities to raising funds. Supervised legal operations for the expansion of several of them into Paraguay, Colombia, Perú, and the US.
Participated in over 50 M&A and financing transactions in Bolivia and the US., Undergrad and postgraduate technology and transactional law professor. Bruno Ayllón
Dealflow & Due Diligence
Bruno Ayllon joined Babasú Ventures in 2024 as a Consultant in Investment Analysis. He supports the team with deal flow management, due diligence processes, and investment evaluation.
Previously, he co-founded Munay, a Bolivian fintech focused on financial inclusion for women entrepreneurs, where he led strategic development. He also worked in portfolio strategy at responsAbility Investments AG in Switzerland, and was Investment Officer at BIM Ltd., managing a diverse portfolio and leading impact investment processes.
He holds an MSc in Finance from HEC Lausanne, Switzerland, and a degree in Financial Engineering from Universidad Privada Boliviana, where he is a professor teaching finance, management, and entrepreneurship courses.

Verónica Céspedes
Fundraising & IR
For the past 15 years -both impact investors and donors- have relied on Veronica to develop and implement integrated investment, ESG and impact strategies, policies and frameworks for financial inclusion institutions in LAC focus.
Veronica has developed guides to adopt customized, efficient approaches and ESG management systems tailored for different portfolio investment strategies to efficiently, actively and pragmatically engage and support financial institutions and fund managers in achieving demonstrative improvements in their financial and ESG performance, as well as enhancing their positive impacts.
Her motivation is to leverage her strong investment background, in-depth knowledge of ESG-Impact themes and internationally accepted frameworks, as well as her experience in multi-cultural contexts and an expansive LAC region network to capitalize the intersectionality between ESG risk management and impact in investment decision-making processes in the context of private sector development where returns, risks, and impacts, particularly to vulnerable people and the environment, can be large.
